CORNWALL'S POLPERRO HARBOUR METAL POSTER |

STRATFORD UPON AVON METAL POSTER |
As the birthplace of the playwright William Shakespeare (1564-1616), Stratford-upon-Avon was promoted extensively in the 1920s. This poster was produced for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) and for the LMS Welcombe Hotel, described as "England's newest country house hotel."
Artist Warwick Goble studied at Westminster School of Art and started out as a lithographer. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and other leading galleries, illustrated many books, and designed posters for the LMS and Great Western (GWR) railways.
